Wolfgang’s Must-Do Nutrition Tips

  • Make breakfast the most important and largest meal of the day. Eat within 20 minutes of your workout.
  • Never skip a meal.  Starvation makes your body store fat.
  • Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages.  Drink in moderation and only on the weekend.
  • Eat several smaller meals during the day instead of two big ones.  Keep the furnace burning!
  • Drink eight tall glasses of water.  NO regular soda and keep the diet soda to a minimum.
  • Cook your own meals instead of going out or getting take out.  Cook easy, healthy meals in advance and freeze them.
  • Eat at least two vegetables with each meal.  Potatoes don’t count, salad does – no creamy dressings.
  • Eat only “ONE PORTION”.  No, not a ‘plate full.’
  • No late dinners – especially after 8 p.m.  Go to bed and get some sleep instead (at least 7 hours).
  • Did I mention water?  Carry a bottle with you all day long, whenever you feel hungry, drink water. 
  • Look at what you are eating and count the colors on your plate.  More colors means better nutrition.

Note that this list is not ranked – they are all equally important, and all should be followed for best fitness results.
